Giambattista Valli

Autumn-Winter 2013/14

Giambattista Valli described his collection as having an ‘urban attitude’. The collection was sleek and the looks were elegant, perfect for the sophisticated womens wardrobe.

The collection had a beautiful progressing colour palette of several different whites, black, bright red and highlights of rosey pink. The selection of colours was simple but effective and worked to soften the designs. Another highlight of the collection was the inclusion of fur, it wasn’t used in the expected way but instead placed as a finishing touch on collars or as a trim, this added an extra tough of luxury.

Giambattista also played with ideas of femininity and masculinity combining romantic, draping dresses with oversized masculine outerwear, this added another level of interest to the collection.
