Costume National

Autumn-Winter 2013/14

This season Ennio Capasa brought us a sleek, serious and somber collection. The colour palette was strikingly  dark, the initial looks emerged in all black and as the show went on, with the exception of a brief burst of red, it stayed dark and closed with a series of navy designs. The limited colour palette, while casting a serious mood served to draw attention to the precise and accomplished tailoring.

Ennio played with a classic tuxedo, picked it apart and rebuilt it across many designs. This resulted in appealing touches like silk lapels, satin edging and sharply tailored trousers. All of the tuxedo inspired detailing led to a strong, eveningwear suitable collection which though understated stood out through its attention to detail.
