Balmain

Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  Christophe Decarin’s rocking collection oozed sex appeal thanks to the plunging necklines and the laidback lux of the mannish tailoring that fell of the shoulders to bare nude skin. Lamé trouser suits were sexed up with deep plunging fronts and nothing underneath. Equally, the slash-fronted jersey catsuits portrayed such an image, embellished with huge goat hair shoulders. Metallic gold and silver leather trousers and glittering bibs were Balmain through and through. As were the mini dresses in chevrons of gold and black jewels. Bling is what Balmain is renowned for but amongst this was a laidback silhouette in black and white baggy vest and sleeveless tuxedo jackets. Trousers were notably cropped just below the knee throughout; a trend which catwalkyourself is sure will take off during autumn.
