Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – The black and white film playing at the end of the catwalk said a lot. An old fashion flavour featuring striped back classy clothes endowed with lace, lingerie and that all important sex appeal. Impeccable tailoring created beautiful cut blazers, first in black (every wardrobes essential) and then in tweed. Bustiers and all in ones made from red velvet, lace and black satin were simply stunning and sometimes dramatic with billowing chiffon flowing over lingerie. It wouldn’t be Dolce & Gabbana without the insertion of a few hot trends. This time it was the polka dot found on dresses, skirts, and jackets in all sizes. The leopard print was also ferociously prominent worn in draped dresses of stretch jersey and made even sexier with black lace. The girls headphones gave the collection a modern touch and reminded us that Dolce & Gabbana dominated the past, and currently dominate the present.
