Mulberry

Mulberry Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – Mulberry marked its return to the London Fashion Week schedule with an A/W 16-17 collection designed by its new creative director Johnny Coca.

The collection featured pleats on asymmetrical kilt like skirts and on chiffon dresses. Studs were widely featured on knee length capes and coats, beautifully structured handbags and on shoes. Homage was paid to the label’s English origins by the use of large rose motifs in red and yellow on dropped hem coats with shearling lined hoods and on dresses. The collection was given an edge by incorporating leather studded braces that held up black tailored trousers and on leather jackets.

Shoes were given a delicate touch by employing ribbons in yellow, orange and black as shoe laces. Mr Coca’s attraction to colour was evident in a collection that featured violet coats, military green shirts and blue chiffon pleated shirt-dresses. Johnny Coca outdid himself with a black see-through lace dress embellished with black shiny stone beads.
