Jil Sander

Spring-Summer 2014 – There were many times whilst I was looking through the images from the Jil Sander collection that I had to go back and double check that I wasn’t viewing the womenswear collection by mistake. The colours are very summery, whites, corals and reds. There were wide legged shorts, which could be mistaken for a skirt, and lots of fitted jackets and floral patterns. Like many other designers Jil Sander decided to concentrate on functionality, with layering and practical shirts and cardigans. All of these outfits were incredibly versatile, meaning that there were so many different combinations which could be created, lots of two-piece suits and sports jackets. The inclusion of PVC garments in white and navy made this collection very different and eye-catching on the catwalk.
