Spring-Summer 2012 – The inspiration for Westwood’s collection was the Olympics. This was quite literal in her sportswear, baggy glitzy tracksuits signalling a big event rather than just a run, and t-shirts emblazoned with medals. This was not so literal in her formal wear, showing what the sportsman might wear to the dinners and celebratory parties. Three piece suits rather more suited to Wall Street than the Olympics, but impeccable, in light grey pinstripe, tuxedos in glitzy midnight blue and wet look black. A luxurious collection with the quirkiness expected of Westwood.
