Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton Man Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – Under the direction of Mr Kim Jones, the artistic director collaborated with Jade Jager as the collection displayed at Paris Fashion week reconnoitred the past, present and future of Louis Vuitton collections. The collaboration with Jade Jager looked at the archive of the Baron de Rede for the jewellery this season, embroidering the jewellery on the navy blue blazers and side bags.

The British born Creative Designer erased the essence of autumn/winter collection by celebrating a visual tribute to a century of Paris fashion, to reflect the current attitude. Since joining Louis as a creative director, Mr Jones has been revisiting the old and restyling the label with new digital effects.

Once again Louis Vuitton displayed a collection full of elegance and luxury by revisiting a touch of fur from the previous collections on the long coats and classic shirts adding a touch of modernity to the designs, speaking backstage Mr Jones explained that he wanted to give modern Paris a breath of fresh air.

Paris was renowned with mottled bomber jackets; zip up polo necks, cashmere jackets and the collection played with shiny and matte explicit prints. As we all know that Louis Vuitton’s best-selling item is the iconic luggage bags, this was also incorporated throughout the show. Everything was covered in Louis Vuitton’s silkscreen.

Another unforeseen adding was the fractured indigo-painting designs on the collection which came on the silk pyjama style piece, the denim and leather jackets.
