Junya Watanabe Man

Junya Watanabe Man Autumn-Winter 2016-17 – The protégé of Comme des Garcon, Junya Watanabe presented a classic, yet thoughtful collection by moving away from his style of Comme des Garcon.

The colour schemes of black, grey and navy blue appears to be running through Paris Fashion Week as the designer presented a variety of long navy double breasted coats, grey mac jackets, long leather jackets and a couple of fitted blazers. Mr Watanabe revealed a wearable technology collection with solar panel overcoats to use for charging phones. It’s more than just another collection.

The collection inspired by winter displayed attention-grabbing pieces such as the classic fitted grey suit which was paired with a pair of white trainers and denim wide legged jeans with blue fitted shirts.

The designer accessorised the outfits with long grey and black wool material scarfs and winter hats. The models wore black shiny shoes with black socks underneath visible enough to be seen.

The collection and the colours are self-effacing, yet the designer pays close attention to detail with the cropped pants and leather sleeves on the blazers.
