Julien Macdonald Women Autumn-Winter 2015 - Glitz and glamour are never far from Julien Macdonald and whilst his AW15 collection certainly continued his penchant for bright colour, his latest offering exposed a somewhat darker more seductive side.
With the Foreign and Commonwealth Office proving to be the most stunning of settings, Macdonald’s models descended onto the catwalk like a group of colourful Goths with the designer pairing his jewel toned designs with the edgier accessories of leather chokers, elbow length gloves and a smudge of dark claret lipstick. Looks were then finalised by flawless cashmere complexions and wet look hair.
Much like the architecture of the setting’s surroundings, designs featured incredible attention to detail and showcased supreme craftsmanship with a number of Macdonald’s designs incorporating sheer panels, cut outs and even embroidered lace upon silk pieces. Whilst long fringing effects, crochet, and zip up fronts offered additional allure, dressing gown style coats also added a sense of sensuality. The undeniable show-stopper though came in the form of a glitter evening gown which was made all the more beautiful with its opaque panels and outlining black trim.
