Jean-Pierre Braganza

Jean-Pierre Braganza Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – Fresh from his recent collaboration with River Island, Jean-Pierre Braganza’s Autumn-Winter collection took flight this afternoon. Sounding out the air raid siren, this aviator inspired collection comprised of a series of fitted looks set in tones of burgundy, camel and deep grey.

Pairing tailored pencil skirts with fur-collared bomber jackets synonymous with Amilia Earhart, looks were strict and structured throughout whilst the consistent presence of leather in the form of wrist cuffs, oversized collars and knee high boots gave a rockier edge. With his collection dominated by long skirts with elongated back splits, Braganza’s trademark geometric prints also featured in the form of horizontal stripes streaked across flared trousers and bolder prints emblazoned on several tops. The pinnacle of his collection however were his burgundy  silhouette-shaping gowns which, infused with splashes of grey and zip detailing, all adopted differing lengths and occasional asymmetric overlay.  All looks were accessorised with knee length socks and either stilettos or shoe boots.

With his final piece returning to classic feminine elegance, Braganza’s full-length gown with tapered waist, cowl neckline and back split showcased the exquisite tailoring the designer is famed for and proved the perfect piece to close the show.
