Jason Wu Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – Jason Wu’s collection rose to light today, on New York Fashion Week’s second day – living up to his previous voguish ready-to-wear collections, excelled himself in his recent Autumn/Winter 15 collection.
The show went through a selection of colors – starting with the khaki looks – wowing the audience with a matching coat and culottes match, layering over a dark fur coat. The khaki and fur theme followed through to merge with black clothing, crocodile prints and a variety of chic yet sexy outerwear, patterned pants and slim fit clothing. Wu then brought in a few more feminine pieces, similar to the previous looks, including steel blue, coral and white – with sparkling leopard print, wool fabrics, lace and bows and slits in the skirt. Revealing black lace dresses were also walked, contrasting the layering shown through the first looks, then finished off by a black and white set of designs.
On the whole Wu’s collection was modest, smart yet sexy, revealing but also conservative. A job well done.
