Emilia Wickstead

Emilia Wickstead Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – As a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge, elegance is somewhat expected of Emilia Wickstead but today the designer truly outdid herself with an ultra-feminine, articulate collection. Regal ideas however did not seem far from the designers mind with models performing a sleek Cinderella style descend onto their runway.

Rejecting the darker hues of Autumn and Winter for lighter more muted colours, Wickstead’s collection was a sea of pastel with the midi-length dresses, skirts and culottes that featured all created in shades of baby blue, lilac and cream. Whilst textures also maintained the element of softness through use of furs and woollens Wickstead did not stop there, with the designer showcasing tougher, more retro-inspired looks including gowns crafted in Check jacquard and a dominatrix style, black leather dress.

With standout pieces including diamond-patterned trousers, a slashed to the navel jumpsuit, and elongated blue pastel coats draped over delicate creams, Wickstead’s final piece – a floor length, trapeze hemmed red gown modelled by stunning Hollie-May Saker – was the real winner of the collection and is a look that ensures any Cinderalla can and will go to her ball.
