Carolina Herrera Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Carolina Herrera’s 2017 Fall collection was as effortlessly glamorous and elegant as usual, with flowing shapes and flattering evening gowns. It was a collection of two halves to a certain extent, all tied together, quite literally at times, with a bow.

The show opened with school-mistress chic style shirts, blouses and long flowing skirts, which gently transitioned into a collection of long ball gowns style dresses, many of which had the sophistication and grace of a gracefully aging woman, in the most positive way. Although some of the designs had a young edge, such as oversized tulle bows and deep plunging necklines, it really was a collection which could span across generations of women.

The shirt, sweatshirt and midi skirt was a popular combination, often colour coordinated in matching sets of scarlet red, teal, navy or grey. While the evening gowns spanned from a delicate blush pink to deep purples, black and navy. Many pieces, such as crisp white shirts, where neatly tied around the waist and sleeves with oversized bows, which created a subtle and easy cohesion across such a diverse
