Alexis Mabille

Alexis Mabille Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 – The French designer this year opted for a colorful showcase including jet black, nude, white, signaling red, emerald green, plum purple and fluorescent pink.  All blended together to create a floral fantasy theme. Reinforced with embroidered blooms and gigantic petals almost blossoming as the looks enter the runway.

All of the collection was based around eveningwear and featured design details such as plunging necklines, fishtail dresses, capes and structured shoulder areas drawing attention to the female neckline and face. Sequins also made the cut at this year’s Alexis Mabille show alongside ivory lace adding glamour to the bright, optimistic collection.

My favourite aspect of this collection was the structural aspect of the 23 pieces, especially oversized brows. Suggesting Mabille’s dresses are considered a gift for the onlooker.  All the looks were accessorized with heels, waistband belts, mini clutch bags and feathers weaved through the hair.

Overall Mabille’s collection is the perfect take on Spring/Summer evening wear.
