Spring-Summer 2012 – So very prim and proper was the collection of Ralph Lauren. A collection for those adults who want wearable clothes from the off. The sumptuously soft clothing included banana yellow’s paired with sea blue silks. Midi-skirts were right on trend but in the Ralph way with soft florals and chiffons. An angelic white dress helped epitomise the very look of the collection – it fell just above the ankles, swaying loosely around the body, a perfect accompaniment for a week abroad. The accessory of the day was the scarf – either worn wrapped around the neck, or left to cascade down the body. This is notwithstanding the prominence of the Cloche hat adorning most of the models heads.  Beautiful wide legged trousers came in salmon pink and yellow, cataloging the watercolour palette of the collection. The clothes were, perhaps, a nod towards Parisian chic; so very chic.
