Role Profile
As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering group, Cast UK have been instructed to recruit a highly commercial Finance Director for their head office in Redditch.
AGGORA is an Operating Company, operating within the Catering and Hospitality division of Bunzl UK and Ireland (BUKI). BUKI is a geographical trading region of Bunzl PLC, a FTSE 100 organisation.
AGGORA operates as a decentralised business and this role is part of the Senior Leadership Team of the business that is empowered with executive control to steer the strategy of the business. The business employees circa. 225 FTE. This role manages 5 Direct Reports, and the department has 17 heads in total.
Reporting to the Managing Director, The Finance Director will take responsibility for all financial aspects of the business including Forecasting, Budgeting, Financial Reporting and Management Accounts. This position will be regarded as the "number 2" within the business and will actively assist the Managing Director in managing the business and be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
* Manage the Commercial Financial Controller, Commercial Analyst, Project Billing Manager & Billing Manager.
* Review & negotiate framework contracts & Non-Disclosure Agreements, tender terms, and non-framework contracts.
* Review & negotiate property contracts.
* Review, negotiate & liaise with external legal on more complex project contracts, particularly related to Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM), Collateral Warranties and Joint Contracts Tribunals (JCT) contractual discussions.
* Annual budgeting of revenue and profit returns.
* Ongoing review and analysis against budgetary targets with the preparation of revised forecasts if necessary.
* Oversee the invoicing process to ensure that correct costs are incorporated.
* Liaise closely with the Sales Director and Account Managers to continually review customers rates and KPIs.
* Liaise with the operations team to internally audit pricing strategies and review costs of departments.
* Cash flow management throughout the business directing, areas where specifically responsible and supporting other directors.
* Oversee the creation and implementation of a suite of PowerBI reports to support operational and sales teams.
* Working closely with the on-site IT department to understand the data being captured and utilised
* Oversee AP which is managed by the Commercial FC.
* Review and approve payments.
* Oversee the input of invoices, account reconciliation, pro-forma payment & company credit and expenses processes.
* Manage the Commercial Financial Controller, Accounts Assistant and Payroll / Expense Coordinator.
Skills and Experience
* CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
* Actively embrace new technological advances within Finance
* Strategic planning and reporting
* Proven track record in finance management
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
