粗棉布是一种廉价又粗糙的棉制面料。它是一种来源于东方的制造工艺，并且在本质上同平纹细布非常相似。苏拉特棉布制做工艺又被称作巴菲塔工艺，据说是品质最高的粗棉制作工艺。粗棉布通常呈蓝色、白色或是呈面料的原始色，这种工艺原本源于印度，但现在在英国也可以生产。16世纪时生产的漂白细棉布被认为是最早生产出的粗棉布类。
