PROMISING MASATO: MANCHESTER FASHION WEEK
Spinningfields, Manchester has seen the arrival of Manchester Fashion Week from the 9th to 14th April, along with the Masato fashion show. Garments were made from luxurious, sheer fabrics such as chiffon with a continuous metallic feel throughout.
Colour palettes included black, gold and grey along with panelling and a burst of red through accessories. Jacket waists were pinched in teamed with cocoon structures making pieces suitable for a variety of occasions as well as body types. The seductive necklines and power shoulders made this a daring collection for Masato however they were sure to incorporate their signature draping used in previous pieces. Straight trousers were paired with alternative shaped jackets and decoration came in the form of subtle, wintery florals, perfect for this season. Overall, a fantastic collection and a proud moment for the designer.
