Role Profile
Senior Buyer is responsible for professional procurement support to the EMEA region. Responsible for the commercial management of a number of EMEA-wide indirect Spend Categories. Taking a lead role in developing category strategies and project plans. Engages with stakeholders to understand their needs. Manages sourcing processes using an e-sourcing tool. Manages suppliers and agreements to deliver the best possible ongoing results. Supports the implementation of Global Policy regionally.
Skills & Experience
Develops expert understanding of category details such as marketplace, best practice and industry trends.
Leads sourcing activity, gaining stakeholder buy-in, setting up project teams, and delivering the best value (TCO) result in a timely fashion.
Manage purchasing related risks in a professional manner.
Take a lead in working with Global Procurement associates to develop Global best practice, providing insight and knowledge on EMEA region complexities and support effective roll out of Global Process
Solid purchasing knowledge and experience (preferably related to Logistics & Transport)
A demonstrable track record of success.
Degree (or equivalent) desirable in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business or Engineering.
E-Sourcing expertise desirable not essential.
SAP experience & knowledge desirable not essential.
Written and spoken English (French language skills also very desirable).
