Comme Des Garçons

Spring – Summer 2014 – Comme de Garçons is a show spectacular, not for the trends or the cuts or the colours but the pieces themselves are artwork.  None of the collection we will see walking down the street or even trickling into mainstream high street stores but they will make fantastic editorial pieces. If Lady Gaga were still in her outrageous dressing faze, this collection is for her.

The construction of the pieces clearly shows the great technical skills of the team at Comme de Garcons with cage dress wear and the retro style Cinema girl outfit in leather and chains. They are breaking boundaries and pushing peoples imaginations with this collection, you have to admire the imagination and manipulation of fabrics such as satin and leather and making them seem something to what they are not used to being. A fantastic dark Marie Antoinette style dresses features in the show and leaves us reviewing what we have just seen like taking in a theatre show. What just happened?
