Giorgio Armani

Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  Giorgio Armani had catwalkyourself enamoured with his clothing. The beauty of the female was exhibited in elegant collection. The splendour of the suit came in the form of long blazers finished below the waist, and straight leg trousers finishing above the ankle with a turned up hem. The suit trousers epitomised the Armani style this season for all trousers following the guise of ankle grazers. It was a mature collection, very little skin shown with long dresses placed over trousers teamed with fur coats and swing-back jackets. The dominance of black was so strong through the dramatically larger than life clothing; huge sleeping-bag like coats, ball-gown like skirts that puffed out. Soft nudes and peach interspersed the black, especially the dresses; their beauty spoke for themselves: metallic tassels danced off the dresses, skirts and waistcoats and embellishment of stupefying quality was iridescent. The gowns were maxi-length with plunging cleavages or paired with chandelier-like necklaces. This collection really was for the woman.
