Moschino

Moschino Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Moschino is always a show to hold your breath for. You can never be sure what exactly Jeremy Scott with produce. What you can be sure of is that it will be big, colorful and a little weird. But that is the charm of Jeremy Scott’s work. The FW17 collection opens with some “cardboard” pieces, cleverly stamped with “fragile” and “this side up” and flows nicely into duck tape, trash bag, and other pieces that resemble refuge. This all definitely sounds weird, but it does work. There’s a bit of commentary being made about consumption and waste. As usual Scott also puts the Moschino logo everywhere, with the most conspicuous being on the more colorful pieces that appear in the middle of the show — his nod to our obsession with brand names and excess consumerism. Towards the end we saw many “going out” pieces with an exceptional mini dress being made out of gaudy watches. Scott himself walked out in a T-shirt that read, “Couture is an attitude.” And attitude was plenty abundant in this show.
