Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – For a label known to march to its own beat, Christopher Kane shook up London Fashion Week.

The opening outfit appeared to be made from cardboard and staples. If that was not enough to grab one’s attention the designer threw in plastic bonnets on model’s heads for good measure. The result was striking in that it conjured images of a lost wandering lady and is set to be one of the most memorable images from the show.

Jumbo scarves looked both cosy and effortlessly fashionable. A sweater with the initial ‘K’ was cool and will undoubtedly appeal to the younger generation. Extra oomph was added to the collection by the use of coloured feathers on shoes and outfits. Other accessories included flowers such as poppies and daisies which featured alongside long leather gloves and badges. This eclectic collection was refreshingly different.

The show was attended by Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe and Olivia Palermo.
