Escada has appointed ex Calvin Klein president as their new CEO.

Iris Epple-Righi has worked at PVH for 13 years for both Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.

The German womenswear label has suffered through several troubled years, seen with their mass personnel reductions, where 200 redundancies are currently in negotiation.

Escada have been looking for a new CEO since the summer of 2015 and have finally agreed on Iris as the most appropriate candidate, who will leave Calvin Klein soon to start her role on the 1st September where Jörg Wahlers, CEO interim, will return full-time to his role as CFO and COO.

It is expected that Iris will find it challenging to place Escada in a positive position since their revenue has declined from an estimated €275 million, compared to €300 million in 2012, despite former boss, Bruno Sälzer, aiming for €500 million in the medium term.
