Amazon to Buy Net-A-Porter.com?

Posted on

It has been reported that internet conglomerate Amazon has been in ongoing talks with luxury fashion e-tailer Net-A-Porter.com in discussion of purchasing the company.

There is a current lack of specific details with lack of official comments from either brand.

Amazon has not hidden desires of owning a large share of the company, as this summer it will be opening a 46,000 sq ft fashion photography studio in Shoreditch to demonstrate ability to live up to the retailer’s approach to visual merchandising of stock; efforts such as these are furthered by sponsoring men’s fashion week in New York in July, simultaneously hiring a number of highly trained staff from within the fashion publishing industry in a bid to create a credible shopping destination.

Since 2008 the company have stocked clothing and added over 100 labels, including Missoni and Vivienne Westwood.
