Stetson

Stetson hats were created in the 1860s, they have a large brim which turns up slightly and is large in height. Created in felt, they protected wearers from the weather particularly the sun. Worn by men, the Stetson hat became one of the most famous hat styles to be worn across the American West and was known as the “cowboy hat”. The hat could be seen to be accessorised through pieces of leather or ribbon tied around the rim of the hat.
