Messenger bag

Messenger bags are large, often rectangle shaped bags that are held with one adjustable strap over the shoulder and sit across the chest. They have a large opening allowing easier access and may also be named as carryalls.  They were designed during the 1950s, quickly becoming desired in the 1980s through redesign of De Martini’s bags by John Peters. They are used to carry heavy or larger items, these bags can be worn by both men and women but tend to be used more frequently by men.
