Clutch

Clutch bags are women’s bags that are usually handless and held in one hand. They have a variety of fastenings, sizes, colours, fabric compositions and designs. They are normally used for socialising events at night time, holding in them small items particularly those that are necessary.

Clutch bags are thought to have been at the height of population in the 19th Century, coming back on trend after World War II after rationing of fabrics. They are popular through their light structure.

2012 sees a large inflation of clutch bags back on trend.
